If you’ve had cystic acne and suffer from depressed scars that give the skin a crater-like or orange-peel appearance, there are ways to improve your skin. This is our client’s favorite treatment for acne scar revision. Why? Because it works well, and it is predictable in the results it delivers. The deeper the scar, the better it works. Clients can see results with just 1-2 treatments. However, most clients will benefit from 3-5 treatments. The procedure is also relaxing, painless, and well tolerated. Can darker skin types be treated with the Scar Infusion Therapy?

Yes. All skin types can be safely treated with Scar Infusion Therapy. However in darker skin types, such as Asian, Middle Eastern or Latino skin the risk of post treatment darkening will increase. This means, treated areas maybe darker than the surrounding skin for weeks to months. The use of sunscreen and a bleaching cream can reduce this incidence. Your Specialist will discuss this with you after examining your skin type. Treating darker skin types requires a modified method of Scar Infusion, to reduce the chances of side effect, the flip side is that darker skin clients will require an extra one or two more treatments to achieve optimal results.

 

How many treatments will it take to treat acne scars?

The optimal number of treatments will depend on the type of scarring, the severity of your acne scars, but importantly your downtime and skin type. Most clients will exhibit a variety of acne scars, and hence several types of treatments will be necessary to obtain best results.

An assessment made by your Specialist will give you an idea of the number of treatments needed, the down time and costs involved.

Our Doctor and Specialist offer over 5 different methods in Scars and Large Pores revision. Clients can choose to receive Scar Infusion Therapy alone or combine treatments to get better, faster and more effective results.'

For Example:

• Ice pick scarring 2-3 Scar Infusion Therapy + 2-4 Microneedling + 1-2 RF Treatment + 2-5 Microdermabrasion and/or 1-2 Skin Peels

• Mix-scarring 4-6 Scar Infusion Therapy +4-6 Microneedling + 2-3 RF Treatment + 1-2 Skin Peels + 3-5 Microdermabrasion

*Note, acne scarring is highly variable, and the above is only a guide as to the number of treatments required. All Scar Revision Treatments are tailored towards your skin and scar type. The majority of clients will have a combination of acne scars, including ice-pick, box car, rolling, and tethered scars.

 

How much acne scar improvement will I get from the Scar Revision-Infusion Therapy?

Scar improvement is highly variable. Depending on your scar type, skin type and the methods used, the percentages vary between 40-80%. Some clients respond better to scar revision and microneedling treatments compared to others.

Our Specialists will give you an accurate assessment and time line in regards to your acne scars.

 

For example -

• Fair skin clients with predominantly ice-pick scars and box-car scars can improve 60-85% with Scar Infusion Therapy, followed by RF Treatment

• Asian and dark skin clients with scars can expect to improve between 50-75% with methods such as Scar Infusion, combined with RF  treatment

• Rolling, and atrophic scars in darker skin clients are harder to treat. Expect only a 30-50% improvement after several sessions of Scar Infusion Therapy and RF Treatment

 

Is there pain associated with the treatments?

There is NO PAIN in our Scar Revision Treatment. All procedures are non-invasive, non-surgical. Very minor discomfort may occur during the treatment in the form of burning or a stinging sensation, and varies from individual to individual.

 

What can I expect after the treatment?

After the procedure the area may be red or swollen (very rare), as if mildly sunburned. Your specialist will provide a complete after-care instructions and apply topical cream to soothe the skin.

                                                                                                  

The Results To Expect

Most scars cannot be completely removed, only improved, and these improvements can take months. The scar revision clients must be willing to accept this long-term commitment and patience. Scars doesn't happen over night so please don't expect an instant result. Once scar treatment has begun, client may require multiple steps, including scars infushion, microneddling, RF treatment for acne scars, dermabrasion, skin peels and other touch-up procedures.

What is the cost of acne scar treatment?

Cost for Acne Scar Revision will depend on the number of treatments you will require and how complex these procedures are. Some clients may only need 2-4 treatments, whilst others may require more than 4-6  treatments (per procedure)
